The Automotive Mechatronics/Diesel Mechanic occupation equips Namibian trainees with the skills needed to take up positions as qualified artisans within the mining, engineering, building and civil industries.

The Namibian Institute of Mining and Technology provides a holistic method of training that integrates practical hands on training with theoretical knowledge and background, shaping individuals into experienced, knowledgeable, well qualified, capable recruits geared to enter the commercial and industrial job market.

The Diesel Mechanic and Welding trade will teach the trainee to completely;

FULLTIME TRAINEES

NIMT offers a four-year training opportunity in the Fitting and Turning trade. Training is based on the apprenticeship modular training approach in accordance with the requirements and recommendations of the industry. 

Theoretical tuition in the classrooms follows a combination of Level 1 (1st year) to Level 3 (3rd year) subjects. 

During the second semester of every training year, trainees are placed at reputable companies nation-wide on job-attachment, thus providing them with the necessary  job exposure.

Trainees will be informed if they had been successful. Applications are subject to a selection process.
